Nina and Yelena started with a simple discussion about sexuality and ended up becoming a part of the core feminist movement, along with other people. They began to question why access to pleasure is so difficult in a society that claims gender equality already exists. They organized discussion groups and discovered Our Bodies, Ourselves – a historical feminist manual that opened new doors of analysis – and met with experts in the socio-educational field to establish the next steps in their fight. Facing together issues related to the body, sexuality, and gender relations, the two girls became increasingly involved in the feminist struggles taking place all over the world. In the midst of this feminist movement, Nina and Yelena discovered an unexpected pleasure: collective emancipation. Together, fighting against patriarchy, they discovered the joy of being a part of a group that seeks the same goal: gender equality.
